Maheeja Chiranji - MSc Environmental Policy and Management

As a university that has been consistently selected for the top 5 in the Green League Table, the University of Gloucestershire was indeed the best place to start my environmental career.  The best feature of the university and the course was the immense support I received from the staff and the international office from my first point of contact and even after I left. In my experience I find it very easy to settle well in Cheltenham, since it is a very versatile city and has a very friendly community.

Unlike many postgraduate degrees I found in the UK, this course offered a combination of taught and research. In fact, what fascinated me the most is that the majority of the course work and assessments were practical and involved a substantial amount of work in the field, which have given me the exposure and depth of the environmental issues us as environmentalists might not gain but hear or read all the time. Similarly, the significant international composition of my class also provided an active place for regular discussions on international environmental crises and arguments.  The class size was ideal to give me the opportunity to explore and discuss my research ideas with potential supervisors who were the best in their fields with no competition

Akif Sinna Lebbe - MSc Accounting and Financial Management

During my course, I have gained that the ability to stay open-minded and flexible in a financial management environment is of utmost importance; I had never considered that there could be so many different interpretations of a single problem. Furthermore, I have further developed my skills in leadership, decision making, team management and being more politically savvy.

My time at University was one of my best times in my life. Being an International student, the life at University of Gloucestershire helped me not only with my education but also with my networking skills.  I have met many students from various background (America, Europe, Asia), giving me an opportunity to improve my communication skills and multi-cultural society interactive Knowledge. I am still in touch with them even though currently we are based in different parts of the world. Also university of Gloucestershire has very good sports facility, as I am interested in various extracurricular activities the sports faculty was very useful especially with my favorite sports Cricket and Rugby.
