Hilary qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 1998 and since then has been passionate about education in this area and the promotion of the profession. She also loves to see students reach their potential within this exciting career.


Hilary worked as a radiographer for a number of years before joining education. She worked in a large teaching hospital in Birmingham and had experience with major trauma and CT scanning. She then moved in to education where she has been personal tutor to a large number of students, ensuring their well-being and enjoyment on the course. She has also been admissions tutor and course lead in another university before starting her role in the University of Gloucester. Her research interests are student well-being in the imaging setting and work-based learning.
