Be visionary in specialist studios with the latest industry technology, collaborate with other artists and designers as well as media and technology students, and be inspired by practising professionals to develop your own authentic voice.    

Performing Arts

Rehearse your performance in our professional drama studios, develop your dance technique with harlequin-spring floors, mirrors and bar, or strengthen your voice in our acoustically designed music and singing room. Based at Oxstalls Campus.

New Design Centre

Our brand new Design Centre, based at Park Campus, offers a professional space for students  to develop their creative talent.

Advertising - work on live briefs and pitch ideas to agencies in the boardroom.           

Fashion - create cutting-edge designs with industry-standard sewing machines, cutting tables a sublimation printer and more.
Graphic Design - develop contemporary skills in typography, branding and packaging in our studios and wet print facilities.
Interior Design - establish drawing and creating spaces skills in a dedicated studio.
Product Design - get creative in our workshops; using industrial power tools, 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC equipment.

Build your portfolio

Showcase your work to new audiences through local and international events. Visit shows and exhibitions in London, Milan, Paris and Shanghai. We're the only UK university invite to the world-famous International Comics Festival in Angoulême!

 

Creative studios

Our FCH Campus has dedicated Illustration and Landscape Architecture open-plan studios. Just a few minutes walk from FCH, Hardwick is a thriving hub of creativity with its own spacious Photography and Fine Art studios.

Experimental equipment - VR technology, 3D printing, laser cutting and workshop space for model making.
Print room - risograph stencil printer, letter press, silkscreen printing, lithography, etching presses and book binding equipment.
Photography - darkrooms, digital suites, industry-range cameras and lighting equipment.
