Please note that although you are asked to register for 11.45am, your audition time will be allocated on the day and you can expect to be with us for the afternoon. If you have a familiarity with one or more of the monologue choices then this is fine; we would encourage you to choose a speech that you feel comfortable with. Be prepared to talk about the context of the speeches, the plays that they are from and the playwrights. We may work with you on one or both of these so that we can see how you work with direction and for you to gain an opportunity to experience our approach to actor training.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>You will be expected to be \u2018off book\u2019 for the audition which means knowing your speeches without the need to refer to a script or mobile phone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Group workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>You will have two drama workshops where you will meet students and work with a member of the teaching team.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Your Audition will include a ten-minute informal chat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Some of the questions we may ask you:<\/p>\n\n<p>1. What have you been doing recently, what are your interests?<\/p>\n\n<p>2. Why do you want to study Drama and Performance Practice with us at the University of Gloucestershire and how do you think the course could help you to achieve your goals?<\/p>\n\n<p>3. What are the areas you are particularly strong in and where do you need further support to develop your potential?
