If you would like, you can bring a backing track with you on USB or CD, or know where to find it on YouTube.\u202fWe may have an accompanist available if you would like to bring sheet music, but we cannot guarantee that for every audition \u2013 get in touch if you want to be sure about this!\u202f Unaccompanied is also fine. \u202fWe\u2019d like you to sing the whole song \u2013 as a rough guide we would be looking for something between 2 and 4 minutes long.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Monologue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>We ask you to perform a monologue in English. There is no requirement for this to be from any particular historical period. It\u2019s best if you know the context of the monologue \u2013 the story behind the scene and the character. As a rough guide, we would be expecting this to be around 1 to 2 minutes in length.\u202f We may work with you on your monologue, to see how you take direction, so make sure you know it well.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Your Audition will include a short conversation,\u00a0<\/strong>giving us the chance to get to know you a bit better and answer any questions you have.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>What we may ask you<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>1. What have you been doing recently, what are your interests?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>2. Why you want to study Performing Arts with us at the University of Gloucestershire and how do you think the course could help you achieve your goals?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>3.
