Strategic alliance
The strategic alliance is a partnership between local education providers across the South West.
The Strategic Alliance is a partnership between the University of Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS), Gloucestershire College and Bath College.
The aim is to make Higher Education (HE) more open to students with clear progression routes and the chance to study closer to home. It is important to the Alliance to build strong links with businesses to ensure that the students from the four organisations fulfil local business needs.
The partnership was formed in February 2012 and a ten year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in 2013, Bath College joined the Alliance in 2017. The MoU commits the organisations to work together over the next decade.
The Alliance works to raise the quality, range and accessibility of Higher Education in the county and beyond.
