What is Assessment Only Route to Qualified Teacher Status QTS?

If you’re a very experienced primary teacher but don’t have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), this course offers an assessment-only route to gaining QTS.

The University of Gloucestershire is a successful and experienced provider of the assessment-only route. We have a team of specialist assessors and comprehensive documentation to support your learning.

The assessment-only pathway is available to unqualified teachers who have a minimum of 2 years full-time experience, taught in at least 2 schools, early years and/or further education settings. You’ll need the full support of a school that has experience of your teaching. You’ll also need to demonstrate sufficient breadth and variety of experience to meet all of the Teachers’ Standards without further training.

Assessment-only

This is a 100% assessment-based qualification.

We’ll provide pre-interview guidance, a comprehensive handbook and online/telephone support. Experienced tutors will guide you in compiling evidence towards QTS.
