Gain technical and management knowledge and skills for designing and developing sustainable energy sources and analysing industrial energy. You will study a variety of topics including; Designing Energy Sustainable Resource, Industrial Energy Analysis, System Integration, Smart Sensors, Competitive and Reliability Engineering, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Creative and Innovative Design Projects and complete an Advanced Research Project.  

The course has been designed to create effective multi-disciplinary engineers who have acquired the necessary creative, technical and research skills to work within the broad spectrum of modern industry.

Work individually or as part of a team on a practical project and gain experience in analysis, modelling, design and optimisation of industrial sustainable energy systems. The programme is designed for students interested in developing their careers in theoretical and practical aspects of industrial sustainable energy design and development. It also provides excellent preparation for those wishing to continue their study to doctorial level research.

Students successfully completing this course will be well equipped to make an immediate contribution to a company’s performance and operations within the broad spectrum of modern industry.

Study style

The module will be delivered through a series of lectures covering core concepts and material. Learning will continue further during workshop/laboratory sessions where students will complete a number of associated and linked practical tasks. The assessment is 100% coursework and report based.

  • BSc, BEng in engineering, computing technology or similar
  • Mature Applicants: We welcome applications from mature students (with several years of working experiences in the related industry) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants.
