Many aspects of modern life are influenced by electrical and electronic engineering, for example energy, healthcare and communications. This course will cover a wide range of topics within the sector, including; generation, transfer and conversion of electrical power, the transfer of information using radio waves and fibre optics, complex computer and entertainment systems, and electric or hybrid vehicles.
This highly technical course will allow you to gain strong fundamental skills in the theory and practical aspects of electrical and electronic engineering. You will have the opportunity to design, simulate, build and test an electrical or electronic system throughout the third year as part of your individual project, and will collaborate with an academic working at the cutting-edge of research.

Tariff information for 2020 entry
CCC at A levels, BTEC MMM (must include Maths and either Physics, Electronics, Further Maths or Chemistry) or a combination of your qualifications to reach the required tariff total.
Mature Applicants: We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants.
Grade 4/C in GCSE English, Mathematics and a Science subject (or equivalent) are normally required. Please contact our admissions team if you have a question.
