Achieve qualified teacher status (QTS) and learn how to be an inspirational secondary teacher with a deep understanding and knowledge of both education and digital fields.

The course will give you a wide range of professional skills through engagement in school placements and specialist modules in Education Technologies that focus on computing and the use of digital technology.

You will discuss topics such as games design, digital and creative art, cyber, web technologies, general ICT and programming, and many more. The merging of two critically important disciplines, technology and education, makes this an innovative experience and you can graduate with a BSc Honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status in one programme.

This BSc Education Technologies with QTS will appeal to you if wish to move into employment in secondary schools, teaching subjects like computer science or computing. You may want to teach broader subjects but use your enhanced experience of technology to increase potential for learning in a digital world.

Teachers with up-to-date technical skill and qualified status are sought after, so this course is also ideal for those with a role in industry that uses IT, computing or digital skills who would like to join the teaching profession.

There is increasing national demand for teachers with QTS and advanced technological competency so this course is informed by conversations with leadership teams in our partnership schools and the national Institute of Coding.
