{"id":49143,"date":"2023-05-22T09:34:39","date_gmt":"2023-05-22T09:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/courses\/?post_type=case_study&#038;p=49143"},"modified":"2023-07-21T07:48:06","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T07:48:06","slug":"ive-been-supported-by-highly-skilled-and-inspiring-lecturers","status":"publish","type":"case_study","link":"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/courses\/story\/ive-been-supported-by-highly-skilled-and-inspiring-lecturers\/","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019ve been supported by highly skilled and inspiring lecturers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Melanie Rose Steele is studying for an <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/courses\/course\/iln-ma-illustration\/\"><strong>MA in Illustration<\/strong><\/a><strong> and has not looked back since starting the course.<\/strong><br><br>I found myself at a crossroads and joined the part-time course with the simple purpose of finally giving myself proper time to do something I loved: drawing.<br><br>I thought I would be honing my drawing skills to finish illustrating a children\u2019s story I had written myself. But no, I found myself in the print studio learning how to do collagraphy, gum arabic prints and letterpress. I was supported in all these activities by highly skilled and inspiring lecturers.<br><br>Our MA course culminated in a show at the Hardwick Gallery. This was incredibly exciting and challenging.
