Read what Annie has to say about the course.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\">Why did you choose UoG?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time I decided to apply for the course, I was already working for the university and my fianc\u00e9 was studying his undergraduate degree here, so it was a familiar environment to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After taking a break from education, I eventually had an itch to return to the world of learning. Being surrounded by likeminded people once again and focusing my studies on a passion of mine was an enticing idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\">What was the transition into postgraduate study like for you?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the transition from undergraduate to postgraduate felt like a jump, I found there were lots of transferable skills from my degree. Doing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing helped since working with data wasn\u2019t new to me and it was useful to have that background to bring alternative perspectives to my research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\">What is the community like at UoG?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The course is filled with a great group of people always willing to help. Everyone\u2019s voice is heard and included. The lecturers ask us questions and listen to our opinions, often leading to interesting debates. What I enjoyed most about the course was learning with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life in such an inclusive environment. It was a wholesome course where everyone was accepting no matter what experience you had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\">What have been the highlights of your course so far?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the nature of the course, there was lots of fieldwork involved. We visited stunning places such as Selsley Common and Crickley hill. Being able to spend the entire day with friends, learning and exploring new places while contributing to my studies was a great feeling. My favourite memory was when we visited one of the South Cerney lakes in Cirencester. It was a beautiful sunny day, and my class surveyed the river around it.
