This course will provide you with the <strong>knowledge and skills to help you contribute to the UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals for rebalancing life on our planet<\/strong> by halting and reversing biodiversity loss.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Examining the interplay between wildlife disease, behaviour, crime and conflict with humans<\/strong>, this course takes a unique lens to the study of conservation and rewilding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Through <strong>sustainable and proportionate approaches to travel<\/strong>, you\u2019ll also have the opportunity to <strong>study wildlife conservation biology overseas<\/strong>, progressing from field training in the UK to field research on game reserves in the <strong>African savannah<\/strong>, in the <strong>tropical rainforests of Costa Rica<\/strong> or across the rewilding landscapes of <strong>the Alps<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>We offer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/finance\/funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fee waivers, bursaries and awards<\/a>, for both UK and international students. Small to medium-sized classes promote active learning and provide plenty of hands-on experience in the classroom, lab, and field. <\/p>\n\n<p>The course team is <strong>committed to preparing you for your future career<\/strong>, so assessments are designed around real-world tasks, such as writing consultancy reports, creating lab portfolios, producing executive summaries, research reports, posters, websites and the like. And since biological careers don\u2019t require instant recall of information, we don\u2019t use exams to assess those skills. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/article><article tabindex=\"-1\">\n<p>This wildlife conservation biology course offers both <strong>short-term internships<\/strong> and <strong>year-long placement opportunities<\/strong>, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in the field. Participants will have the chance to <strong>build professional connections<\/strong>, e<strong>ngage with industry employers<\/strong>, and <strong>earn academic credit<\/strong> toward their degree.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Recent students have worked with <strong>zoos<\/strong>, <strong>wildlife conservation organisations<\/strong>, and <strong>environmental agencies<\/strong>.
