Module overview <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This module will enable you to develop the knowledge, skills, expertise and confidence<\/strong> necessary to expand your range of assessment techniques <\/strong>as appropriate within your area of practice, in order to determine the health status of an individual. <\/strong>You will develop advanced skills<\/strong> of clinical reasoning to be able to devise patient management plans that address the complexities of physical, psychological, mental health and social factors. You will develop competence in applying your skills<\/strong> of clinical decision making as you apply your assessment findings to your clinical problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To study this course you must be a registered UK healthcare professional<\/strong> from any discipline with a track record of delivering high-quality healthcare and having a positive impact on clinical practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideally, you will be working in a Band 7 level clinical post<\/strong>. However, we’ll also consider clinicians working in Band 6 posts with appropriate experience and clinical impact<\/strong>. You should demonstrate that you have a robust, significant and appropriately varied clinical practice experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants should be graduates<\/strong> or able to evidence a high level of CPD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transition to full MSc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can undertake modules individually then move to the full MSc at a later date, taking the results of previous modules with you via the Accreditation of Prior Learning<\/a> (APL) process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
