To prepare for your future as an Operating Department Practitioner your studies will include practice placements in a variety of NHS settings, which will give you a breadth of diverse experiences to meet Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements for the role.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’ll have the opportunity to experience the diverse nature of the profession by undertaking regular placements spanning health and social care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Placements will be undertaken alongside your theoretical learning with 4 days per week in practice and 1 university day enabling a unique opportunity to apply your taught theory directly to your practice placement experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School of Health and Social Care at University of Gloucestershire, work closely with Practice Placement Partners across Gloucestershire and neighbouring or wider associated counties to support practice-based learning placement experiences in central environments.\u00a0 Travel to and from placement will be required for the duration of your course.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We pride ourselves in making your ongoing development a major focus, not just academically, but also personally and professionally whilst on placement. As such, all students have access to a personal tutor and linked placement tutor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
