Private housing contract lengths can be much longer so it\u2019s worth comparing overall cost as halls might work out cheaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s not just for your first year. <\/strong>We provide an exclusive offer for returning students so you can stay in halls each academic year*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Only a \u00a3200 advance rent payment<\/strong>* is required to secure your room which is fully returned during the academic year. No further payments are required until your first rent instalment in October 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free room cancellation <\/strong>by\u00a0Friday 28 August 2026*<strong>, <\/strong>so if you change your mind just confirm in writing to <a href=\"mailto:accommodation@glos.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accommodation@glos.ac.uk<\/a> and we will cancel your room contract and refund the advance rent of \u00a3200 (if paid). Please note that if you sign a contract with other providers, you would\u00a0be committed unless a replacement is found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"easy\">It&#8217;s hassle-free<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All bills are included<\/strong>&nbsp;to make things as easy as possible for you. <strong>This includes heating, water and electricity \u2013 no caps, no limits!<\/strong>&nbsp;Fast, unlimited internet access is also included plus contents insurance. You\u2019ll even get free gym access for students living at Pittville Student Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s hassle free!<\/strong>&nbsp;No need to look for housing, find housemates or contact landlords. Simply apply via our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/accommodation\/halls-of-residence\/applying-for-halls-of-residence\/\">Applying for halls page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No guarantors<\/strong>&nbsp;are required unlike some external houses and halls of residence*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"friends\">Make friends for life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You can choose to live in halls with a specific group<\/strong>, <strong>creating a household within halls!<\/strong>*&nbsp;If you have other friends coming to UoG that you want to live with, simply state the names of all applicants in the \u2018Special Requirements\u2019 box during the application process. We will then allocate you together provided you apply for accommodation around the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Halls creates an amazing community and way to meet people.<\/strong>&nbsp;Halls of residence features so many people including new and returning students. It is a great way to meet students from across the country and the world!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"flexibility\">It&#8217;s flexible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You have a choice of rooms <\/strong>across our portfolio so you can choose where you want to be based*. This includes en-suite rooms (which are extremely rare in private housing). Studio rooms are also available at Pittville Student Village. Rooms are allocated in the order we receive your application.
