To ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of our students, all employers posting events through the University of Gloucestershire\u2019s careers portal must agree to the following terms and conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event Content and Purpose<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Events must be relevant to student career development, employability, industry insight, or networking opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Content must be appropriate for a university audience and must not promote discriminatory views, political agendas or controversial causes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Health, Safety and Safeguarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Employers must ensure in-person events meet appropriate health and safety standards, including venue risk assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Ensure a safe and respectful environment for students, in person or online.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Events with vulnerable groups or one-to-one interaction must have appropriate safeguarding measures. Documentation may be requested.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Event Promotion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Provide accurate event details: date, time, location, delivery format, event description, and booking process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Events missing key information may be delayed or declined.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Equality, Diversity and Inclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Events must be open and welcoming to all students and must not exclude, based on any protected characteristic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Employers are expected to promote inclusive practices in events and recruitment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Data Protection and Student Privacy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. Do not collect personal data without student knowledge or explicit consent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Handle all data in accordance with UK GDPR. Do not use data for unrelated marketing or share it with third parties.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Recruitment Activity at Events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. If recruitment is part of the event, state this in the description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Any discussed job opportunities must meet the University\u2019s vacancy standards (e.g., NMW compliance).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Respect and Professionalism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              1. Treat all students with professionalism and courtesy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. Harassment or misuse of the platform will result in removal and potential banning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Event Cancellations or Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                1. Notify the University promptly if an event is cancelled, postponed or changed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Inform registered students of cancellations where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  University Discretion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Events may be removed if in conflict with University values or safeguarding responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
