If a discount has already been applied to the tuition fees due this discount will be removed from any calculated fees due.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"alumni\">1.1.&nbsp;Alumni Discounts \u2013 Home and International Fee Payers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for an alumni discount you must be self-funded (see&nbsp;<a href=\"#fn1\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#Note\">note 1<\/a>). If your tuition fees will be paid in full or in part by a sponsor company or organisation (for example your employer) you will not be eligible for an alumni discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discount available is a flat <strong>15%<\/strong> on fees charged in the entry year of a new postgraduate programme of study at the next level of study for any student who has previously received an award as a fee paying (see <a href=\"#fn2\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#Note2\">note 2<\/a>) registered student of the University of Gloucestershire on one of the programmes listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>On successful completion of<\/th><th>Moving on to:<\/th><th>Discount available: <\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>An Undergraduate degree (e.g. BA\/BSc\/LLB)<\/td><td>PGCE, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Master&#8217;s Degree<\/td><td>15% please see note 1, note 2<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>A Master&#8217;s Degree or PGCE<\/td><td>Doctoral Degree (e.g. PhD) &nbsp;or Professional Doctorate<\/td><td>15% for entry year fees<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-light-background-color has-background has-is-7-font-size is-7\" id=\"fn1\">Note 1: MSc Physiotherapy \u2013 unlike other postgraduate taught provision MSc Physiotherapy is delivered as a two year course, the alumni discount is applied only to the entry year fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-light-background-color has-background has-is-7-font-size is-7\" id=\"fn2\">Note 2: For conversion courses which include undergraduate and postgraduate elements (i.e. Landscape Architecture conversion with MA Landscape Architecture) the alumni discount is applied to the master&#8217;s fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"staff\">1.2.&nbsp;Staff Discounts \u2013 Home and International Fee Payers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As&nbsp;a demonstration of its commitment to staff review and development, the University will fund 100% of the fees for part-time job-related University of Gloucestershire courses that are agreed to be desirable by line or operational managers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details of discounts for staff of the University are available on <a href=\"https:\/\/connectglosac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/staffnet\/FinancePlanning\/Pages\/Staff-Fees-Waiver.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Staffnet<\/a>. Any queries should be raised with your Head of Department\/School or with the Head of Human Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading\" id=\"int\">2.&nbsp;Students Liable for International Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you meet the criteria for more than one of the discounts, scholarships or awards detailed in section 2, you will qualify for the discount offering the biggest reduction of the standard tuition fee. &nbsp;Only one discount or scholarship applies and no further discounts will be given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuition fees will not be reduced for students who start their course after the official start date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event of withdrawal or interruption students will lose entitlement to any discount, on resumption of study students on a suspension will again become eligible for discounts. Global Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global Scholarship is an automatic tuition fee waiver of \u00a31,500 deducted from your first year\u2019s tuition fee (or the full course fees for PGT) at the point of offer \u2013 there is no need to apply for this award. New students paying International tuition fees will be eligible to receive the award provided you are self-funded, full-time and studying for a minimum of 2 semesters on one of the following programmes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Undergraduate degree (including courses with an integrated foundation year)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Postgraduate taught degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">PhD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Master&#8217;s by Research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Master of Research (MRes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Professional Doctorate programmes (eg. DBA, EdD) are&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;eligible for the Global Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate and postgraduate taught students must be studying on campus to be eligible, postgraduate research students can be distance learning or on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global Scholarship will be automatically awarded at the point of offer and detailed in the offer letter. Sports Global Excellence scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sports Global Excellence Scholarship is aimed at high performing student athletes who wish to combine high performance sport alongside undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at University of Gloucestershire. This is applied as a tuition fee waiver designed to reward sporting excellence. The Scholarships are open only to international fee-paying students.<br><br>Applicants must be able to demonstrate they are performing at the required level in the performance sport. Other sports may be considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Scholarships are non-transferable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Students must be studying on campus, full-time on either an undergraduate degree for a minimum of 3 years, or for a postgraduate taught degree, for a minimum of 2 semesters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Applicants must be international fee payers and must be self-funding* for at least 100% of tuition fee.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Undergraduate Scholarship is valid as a tuition fee waiver split over the 3 years of tuition fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Postgraduate Scholarship is valid for the first year of tuition fees.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Excellent work experience and\/or portfolio will be considered in addition to grades.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Eligible applicants must have applied and meet set entry criteria. An interview may be required.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Applicants must accept scholarship and pay the full advised advanced payment by the CAS deadline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship from the University of Gloucestershire.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Scholarships will not be awarded to deferred applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">An interview may be required. The allocation of the scholarship is competitive, and so not all applications received will be successful. Scholarships will be awarded by the Sports Scholarship Group comprising of coaching staff. Progression Partner Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If a student wishes to transfer to the University of Gloucestershire from an international progression partner, the University offers a Progression Partner Scholarship of \u00a35,000 which is automatically deducted off the tuition fees. The student must apply for an undergraduate degree (entering at level 4 (year 1), 5 (year 2) or 6 (year 3\/final year) and be studying for a minimum of two semesters (one academic year) on campus, and should be paying international tuition fees.
