{"id":4477,"date":"2021-02-11T11:12:23","date_gmt":"2021-02-11T11:12:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/information\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=4477"},"modified":"2024-06-20T13:40:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T13:40:49","slug":"attendance-and-engagement-monitoring","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.glos.ac.uk\/information\/knowledge-base\/attendance-and-engagement-monitoring\/","title":{"rendered":"Attendance and engagement monitoring"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The NMC and the University regulations will be covered in detail during<br>induction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will be required to sign into university sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students should attend all timetabled sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The academic course leader will monitor attendance each month<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to attend mandatory sessions (BLS and MH) will mean the student cannot attend placement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only hours worked in clinical practice will normally be counted towards placement hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading heading\">Concerns about attendance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is a concern about student attendance the academic course leader will request the personal tutor meets with the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student will be offered support by their personal tutor and signposted to a Student Centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If concerns remain regarding attendance, the student will be asked to meet with the academic course leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The academic course leader and student will create an action plan to improve attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Continuous non-attendance will result in referral to Fitness to Study policy which may result in university instigated withdrawal procedure.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NMC and the University regulations will be covered in detail duringinduction.
