<\/figure>- New sports arena<\/strong> \u2013 this international-standard arena was built in 2018. Just a short walk from campus, it features a new stadium that seats over 800, 3G all-weather pitches and cricket grounds, complete with pavilion. As well as lectures, this is where our sports clubs train and compete as part of BUCS competitions. It\u2019s also home to our very own Netball Super-league team, The Severn Stars.<\/li>
- Sports therapy clinics <\/strong>\u2013 treat elite athletes and gain hands-on experience in our weekly clinic sessions. The therapy clinics give you the practical experience and skills you need to start your career in prevention and rehabilitation.<\/li>
- Strength & conditioning suite<\/strong> \u2013 enhance performance capabilities in our dedicated suite. Our facilities allow for highly accurate diagnostics to be run on any athlete\u2019s strength and prepare you for delivering professional training programmes.<\/li>
- Environmental lab<\/strong> \u2013 using our environmental chamber, screen athletes for exercise-induced asthma, or train them for the Olympics, desert marathons and even climbing the highest peaks.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n- Physiology lab<\/strong> \u2013 understand the functions and mechanisms of the body. Working alongside world-leading researchers, you\u2019ll explore the chemical\/physical functions and disabilities an individual can experience when exercising, and work on projects such as tackling the global physical inactivity crisis.<\/span><\/li>
- Biomechanics lab<\/strong> \u2013 this lab\u2019s specialist staff and equipment will help you determine indicators of sport performance, such as gait and joint strength, or more medical impacts on the body\u2019s mechanisms such as strokes.<\/span><\/li>
- Respiratory lab <\/strong>\u2013 investigate respiratory physiology in athletes and diseased populations, becoming highly-skilled in determining areas such as VO2 kinetics and exercise-induced asthma.
