Doing so while it offers a vibrant and diverse mix of dining, entertainment, leisure and cultural contributions, as part of the night-time economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Purple Flag status is presented by the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM), and was first awarded to Cheltenham in 2016. Gloucester followed suit in 2017, and both areas have successfully maintained the honour ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">To keep it up, new strategies are developed every year to manage the evening and night-time economy in both places.
