<\/figure>- International Society:<\/strong> \u201cOur aim is to make sure international students feel as much “at home” as possible \u2013 we\u2019re also open to all UoG students. We organise social events, running events and trips, so if you enjoy meeting new people, partying, discovering new cultures and having fun, come along!\u201d<\/li>
- Mature Students:<\/strong> \u201cAn informal peer-to-peer network for some downtime and sharing tips on how to balance life in and out of university because sometimes, having someone to chat with is helpful. We arrange a few social events throughout the semesters, like afternoon coffee meet-ups or a trip in to town for music or cinema, which will give you the opportunity to meet other mature students.\u201d<\/li>
- LGBTQ+: <\/strong>\u201cThe LGBT+ Society welcomes anyone to join us, regardless of how they identify. We pride ourselves on being an open and accepting society, and we have worked hard over the past years to ensure that this is a safe space for the community. This society is here for many reasons – whether it’s about sharing experiences, having a safe space on your doorstep or exploring your individuality, there’s a place for everyone.\u201d<\/li>
- Refugee Support Society:<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019re working together to take action and raise awareness for refugee and asylum seeker causes locally and elsewhere in the world. Working closely alongside Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees, holding fundraisers to support work carried out by Salam LADC, we meet to share ideas by be hosting ‘Chatty Caf\u00e9’ every fortnight and make change. We also look forward to some exciting outings, socials and get-togethers.\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

- Islamic Society: <\/strong>\u201cWe attempt to provide a medium between Muslims and non-Muslims alike to discuss in achieving a better understanding amongst each other. ISoc is a culturally diverse group of students who fit under the huge umbrella of the Islamic faith. It\u2019s also a supportive platform where students can express their experiences with being a Muslim student.\u201d<\/li>
