After years of consultancy, research and teaching I still find Marketing a fascinating subject. Whether working for Heinz or the Blood Donor Service the marketing task often remains one of attracting new customers or retaining existing ones.
I enjoy researching customers and markets so that decisions are evidence-based, sprinkling some creativity around the strategy formulation and implementation stages. I currently do this through my research in Green Marketing and Political Marketing as well as teaching marketing to students and professionals. I am very proud to have recently been made an Honorary Fellow and Lifetime Member of my professional body, The Academy of Marketing, "in recognition of extraordinary and distinguished service to Marketing". I also play tennis for my County and am a 13 Handicap golfer!
