I served in the British Army and subsequently worked in professional sport. I’ve spent time working in various industries, focusing on developing high performance sales, support and management teams.


I came from a varied background in to University, having served in Her Majesty’s British Army and subsequently worked in professional sport. I then spent time working in various industries and businesses with a focus on developing high performance sales teams and also developing highly capable leadership and management teams. This has developed my passion for Elite Performance and Leadership & Management which are areas that I teach and also engage in research as my doctorate is in this area.

Lloyd teaches across Business Management subjects with a focus on Leadership & Management. He challenges students to look at the application of theory in the real world of business.

My research is specifically concentrated on Professional Judgment & Decision Making (PJDM) in Business Professionals. The aim is to better understand how “elite performers” make decisions and examine how those skills can be harnessed, developed and shared.
