Senior Lecturer in Digital Media

CREATIVE ARTS
My background is in design and the visual arts - I use emergent technologies alongside other forms of media to engage audiences and create participatory experiences. My mission as an educator is to pass on this passion for creativity and communication to students.

Biography

My vision for Digital Media is centred on grounding our students with the traditional skills of storytelling and image-making, and then using that foundation to build a flexible, adaptive set of skills-based around new and emergent technologies.

My background is in design and the visual arts, where I use emergent technologies alongside other forms of media to engage audiences and create participatory experiences and installations. My ongoing practice has seen me working in a wide range of settings, in the UK and internationally and one of my missions as an educator is to pass on this passion for creativity and communication to students.

I’m very pleased to be leading this innovative course, and I’m looking forward to working with students, staff and industry to take the course in new directions and to respond to changes in the workplace as they happen.
