John is a sociologist who has published research on how people interact in the areas of sport and work.


His research interests have always been empirically grounded and theoretically propelled examining topics such as: motives, time, space, place, rituals, routines and of late how sensory perceptions have a social component. His current interest is in the application of sociological phenomenology to sport and work.
