I am an experienced Class Teacher, SENCO and Specialist Advisory Teacher for SEN/D. I am passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs and supporting professionals in schools and settings in their work to achieve this.

I began my teaching career in 1984 in an inner city Birmingham Primary School. I have taught most age ranges across the primary age range in a variety of schools. In my last post, I was SENCo alongside my class teaching role and was part of the senior management team. In 2009, I started working as an Advisory Teacher for the Communication and Interaction Team (Autism Team) for Gloucestershire County Council. I have also worked as a Lead Teacher for Gloucestershire’s Achievement for All team during the national pilot in 2009.
