Sports Leadership, Education and Society

I have a passion for working with people and helping them develop. This has led me to work for over a decade in coach education and I now lecture on the sports coaching team passing on the fruits of this experience.

I have always loved sport and working with people in exciting environments. I suppose it is no surprise that I gravitated towards skiing from an early age. Following a degree and a flirtation with a mainstream job in the UK, I ended up qualifying as an internationally qualified ski instructor and set up my own ski school and instructor training centre in Val d'Isere, France. 15 years later I needed a new challenge and have brought these years of experience back to an academic environment and am now committed to helping the next generation of coaches.
