Elaine is a Health Psychologist (HCPC Registered) and Senior Lecturer. Her research and practice interests primarily focus on the experience and management of long-term health conditions.

Biography

Elaine has a background in clinical practice and has worked in various NHS and voluntary sector mental health services. Elaine has a particular interest in the experience and management of ill health, and supporting patients and families to live well with long-term conditions. Elaine trained as a practitioner Health Psychologist alongside her previous academic role at another Institution. At UoG Elaine is Course Leader for the MSc in Health Psychology and is module lead for Being a Health Psychologist (NS7152) and Experiencing Health and Illness (NS7155).

Teaching

Elaine teaches across the MSc in Health Psychology and is module lead for Experiencing Health & Illness (NS7155) and Being a Health Psychologist (NS7152).
