Biography

After gaining my first degree and Phd at UEA I entered the independent school sector in 1988 for 10 years as a teacher of Biology & Chemistry (Mill Hill School & Cheltenham Ladies College), followed by 2 years Lecturing Human Physiology for professions allied to medicine (Birmingham City University) and then joined UoG in 2000. Exercise & Health Field Chair (2000-2006) and Senior Lecturer Exercise Biochemistry & Physiology. Increasing trade union seniority and election to the University Council has enabled me to move to a more strategic role.
