Lecturer in Primary Education and English

My interests in children’s literature and pedagogy were generated through my Doctoral research. This together with my background in philosophy and interest in education policy fuel my current research. Chevron icon


As a Lecturer in the School of Education and Humanities, I am interested in exploring the connections between education policy, philosophy and practice, particularly within areas related to literacy and critical thinking.

Teaching & Research


Eve teaches on the MA Research, MA Education and BA Education. She formally taught on the BEd and PGCE. Her pedagogic approach is informed by the work of Mikhail Bakhtin and Gert Biesta.


Eve is currently working with colleagues within the department and at the University of Calgary on a project funded by the Centre for Being Human. The project explores representations of evolution in contemporary picturebooks and young people’s responses to them.
