Dr Jun Zhang

Senior Lecturer in International Management

International business is exciting and rewarding, however, it is very risky too. My knowledge of cross-cultural management has helped British expatriate managers to avoid culture shock at pre-transferral stage prior to their movement to China. Chevron icon

My teaching expertise is in international business management with special research interests focused on China and the UK.

I have previously worked with high-level British expatriate managers, supporting them to make cross-cultural transitions into China commercially successful. Prior to that I worked for many years in Shanghai as a senior executive managing key accounts for one of the largest Chinese companies. I use my industry experience in my teaching. In my own time, I love global cuisine. I believe it’s at the heart of understanding culture
