Richard Salkeld

Senior Lecturer in Art

I've been passionate about modern art since studying it as an undergraduate so I am delighted to be able to share my enthusiasm through my teaching. My interests include abstraction, minimalism, Andy Warhol, street photography and aesthetic theories. Chevron icon

After studying Art History and English Literature I began my career as an art librarian working at Goldsmiths College, Falmouth School of Art & Design and the University of Gloucestershire. While working at Goldsmiths I studied part-time for a Certificate in the Foundations of Art and while working at the University of Gloucestershire I studied part-time for an MA in Visual Culture at Bath Spa University . I wrote my MA dissertation on the phenomenon of the Young British Artists, drawing on my experience at Goldsmiths when many of those artists were students there.
