Dr Steven Baker

Senior Lecturer in Psychology

I have a broad interest in cognitive neuroscience and experimental psychology. My main interests are in decision making / intuition, emotion, and virtual reality. I enjoy using state of the art technology to research psychological phenomena, and regularly use these technologies in my teaching. Chevron icon

I am interested in identifying brain activity associated with decision-making / intuition, and how emotion effects these processes.

I am also interested in the use of Virtual Reality in psychology related research and practice. I currently work within a multidisciplinary team designing bespoke virtual reality training tools.

My interest in using technology for psychological research and practice is reflected in my teaching where I run laboratory based practical sessions training others to use these resources.
