Susan Colverd

Senior Lecturer in Drama and Theatre

I have an acting and directing background working nationally and internationally. I am passionate about exploring the actor’s processes in devising, classical and cutting edge contemporary work.

As an actor, I worked in theatre notably with the Actor’s Touring Company where I was nominated for an Olivier Award, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre and in TV. I was Artistic Director of the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham for 10 years directing, writing pantomimes and working with new writers and also ran my own theatre company. I’m a freelance theatre practitioner and a director, working with Red Dog Theatre and Show of Strength in Bristol.
