My team work closely with academics and employers to design and deliver careers support that is practical, inclusive and embedded within the student experience.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading is-3 is-3\">Biography<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My interests include student engagement, employability in the curriculum and creating opportunities that connect students with the world of work in meaningful ways.<br><br>I have a long-standing interest in the future world of work, shaped by a slightly unconventional career journey that has taken me from primary teaching, through finance, and into careers guidance. Since joining higher education in 2014, I have held a variety of roles within careers and employability, which means I have seen the work from most angles before stepping into a management role in 2025. This mix of experience gives me a practical and realistic perspective on student development \u2014 and a healthy appreciation that careers are rarely linear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading is-3 is-3\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">BA (Hons) English Literature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">PGCE<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">PGCAP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading is-3 is-3\">Membership of Professional Bodies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Graduate futures Institute<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Career Development Institute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"heading wp-block-heading is-3 is-3\">Other Work and Interests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside of my role at the university, I also undertake freelance work, mainly supporting 16\u201318 year olds as they navigate their options after sixth form. I enjoy helping young people make sense of what can feel like a complex set of choices, and I particularly value creating space for honest, practical conversations about their next steps.
