Her PhD thesis investigated the effect of inspiratory muscle training on the oxygen cost of breathing and respiratory and limb locomotor muscle oxygenation. She then completed 2 years of post-doctoral training focusing on understanding the integrated physiological and cognitive responses to exercise and the influence of dietary strategies on this response.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Turner has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in the UK and abroad.
