I have been a Senior Manager in practice and retain an interest in the managerial and organisational aspects of the nursing profession. I believe very strongly in service user and carer involvement in nursing programmes, and these will be central to the Learning Disabilities programme philosophy.<\/p>\n<p>Learning Disabilities Nursing is a values driven profession and in this programme students will be supported to develop an ethical approach and to advocate for the rights of people with Learning disabilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered Learning Disabilities Nurse, as well as a qualified teacher.
