Get involved in our Greatest of All Time Art (GOAT) Art show.
As part of the show, students, staff, community artists and alumni are being asked to create an artwork on goat-shaped postcards, responding to the question: Who is the Greatest of all Time?
The choice of a goat not only reflects the title of the show, it is also a nod to Glossy the Goat, the University’s mascot.
We have 1,000 postcards available for submissions, providing much greater opportunity for artists to get involved. All entries – within reason – will be included in the final hang.
At the end of the show, postcards will be auctioned off, with all proceeds being donated to GRASAC – Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre. There will also be a prize (£250 worth of Amazon vouchers) for the best entry, as chosen by a panel of UoG experts.
‘Goat-cards’ will be made available from Monday 29 September 2025, at reception areas at UoG campuses: City, Francis Close Hall, Oxstalls, Park and Pittville Student Village. These will also act as submission points.
Only 1,000 goat-cards will be available and these will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries are also limited to one person.
If you represent a community organisation with multiple members wishing to take part, please contact [email protected] so we can arrange distribution and collection of cards.
Completed goat-cards should be returned via the post boxes located at our campus receptions.
Important: Before submitting, please take a photo of yourself with your completed work and post it on social media using the hashtag: #MyUogGoat. This is how we will be able to find you if you win the competition!
Deadline for submissions is Sunday 16 November.
