Travelling to the University of Gloucestershire by car is a breeze – the central location of Cheltenham and Gloucester puts the university in easy reach of many major towns and cities. A stone’s throw from the M5 and A417, Cheltenham and Gloucester benefit from excellent connectivity both regionally and nationally.

Cheltenham and Gloucester are also supported by regular local and national bus services, which means it’s easy to travel both locally and nationally. University of Gloucestershire students even benefit from reduced local tickets with Stagecoach, and can save up to 20% on National Services by purchasing an NUS Extra card.
National bus services flow regularly, and Cheltenham spa and Gloucester train stations mean that travelling to and from the University of Gloucestershire is a breeze – even if you don’t drive. -
It’s easy to travel to the University of Gloucestershire from international locations too, as strong local transport links place international airports within easy reach.
We’re around an hour by car from Bristol Airport, and less than two hours from London’s Heathrow airport! So whether you’re flying in from Europe, or further afield from Africa, Asia, Australasia, the Middle East or the Americas, you can rest assured that you’re never too far from the University of Gloucestershire.

The University of Gloucestershire has five sites, before you travel please check which campus your subject is at:
- Park campus – computing, engineering, design and media
- Francis Close Hall campus – education, humanities, art and natural and social sciences
- Hardwick campus – fine art and photography
- Oxstalls campus – business, accounting, law, sports, health, social care, events, hospitality and performing arts
- Pittville Student Village – accommodation only
- Oxstalls Sports Arena – sports arena and facilities

Inter-campus bus
Students and staff can travel on the 94U inter-campus Stagecoach bus (except N94, which is £3.50 per journey) for just £1.60 per journey. Stagecoach also offers a unirider student bus ticket providing a flexible travel option.
