We’re one of the top universities in the South West for successful job outcomes for our students with 95% of our students in work or further study within 15 months of graduating. That ranks us in the top 30 universities in England for our graduate outcomes.
100% of our graduates from Journalism, Physiotherapy, Computer Games Programming and Religion, Ethics and Philosophy courses are in graduate-level jobs or further study.
We made the UK’s top 20 for career prospects in the WhatUni Student Choice Survey 2023.
We achieved a silver rating in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) with “very high-quality” student experience and outcomes, and ‘outstanding quality’ overall in staff professional development and academic practice.
We achieved positive results across a number of subject and course areas in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS) – including scores of 100 per cent for academic support.
Overall, the University’s positivity rate for Academic Support has gone up 2.6 per cent compared with 2023.
We doubled the size and range of our research in the most recent Research Excellence Framework, REF 2021.
All University of Gloucestershire subject areas were judged as having ‘internationally excellent’ research in REF 2021, with many submissions rated as world leading.
Winner of the 2021 International Green Gown Award in the Next Generation Learning and Skills category for ‘A Rounder Sense of Purpose’ – a research project that puts sustainability right at the heart of the curriculum and has reached thousands of teachers across Europe.
