We’re one of the top universities in the South West for successful job outcomes for our students with 96% of our students in work or further study within 15 months of graduating. That ranks us in the top 20 universities in England for our graduate outcomes.
100% of our graduates from Adult Nursing, Journalism, Primary Education, and Sound and Music Production courses are in graduate-level jobs or further study.
We made the UK’s top 20 for career prospects in the WhatUni Student Choice Survey 2023.
We achieved a silver rating in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) with “very high-quality” student experience and outcomes, and ‘outstanding quality’ overall in staff professional development and academic practice.
We celebrated a rise in all measures in the 2023 National Student Survey, including academic support, assessment and feedback, and teaching.
Our students rated 22 University of Gloucestershire courses above 90% for teaching and five of those featured in the UK top 10 for that measure.
We doubled the size and range of our research in the most recent Research Excellence Framework, REF 2021.
All University of Gloucestershire subject areas were judged as having ‘internationally excellent’ research in REF 2021, with many submissions rated as world leading.
Winner of the 2021 International Green Gown Award in the Next Generation Learning and Skills category for ‘A Rounder Sense of Purpose’ – a research project that puts sustainability right at the heart of the curriculum and has reached thousands of teachers across Europe.
