Students applying for health and social care courses may be eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund, which provides a non-repayable training grant of £5,000 per academic year, plus an additional £2,000 for students who have parental responsibility. An additional £1,000 allowance is available for students studying a specialist subject. Contact our Money Advice Team for further information.

School and facilities
Mock ward
Our hospital ward is set up exactly like a real one, allowing students to practice their patient care and clinical skills.
The paramedic skills lab is used by students to practice skills such as CPR.
Physiotherapy labs
Practice techniques in treatment rooms, rehabilitation space, a hospital ward, multiple laboratories, a strength and conditioning suite, a fitness suite and a simulated ‘home’ environment.
Willow house
Used by our social work students, experience home visits and gain confidence within our mock house set up.
