About UoG

UoG is a vibrant and friendly university welcoming students from all over the world. Our smaller size means we have a strong sense of community with outstanding support systems that enable students to thrive.

Our three campuses are set across the city of Gloucester (Oxstalls) and its neighbouring town of Cheltenham (Park and Francis Close Hall) on the edge of the Cotswolds, the UK’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

An exciting new addition to our teaching and learning space will be City Campus in the heart of Gloucester’s historic centre, due to open in autumn 2025.

Our unique location is well connected by road, rail and air, with Bristol and Birmingham within an hour’s reach.

Study with us

We offer a wide range of degrees and apprenticeships at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our focus is on delivering excellence in learning and careers outcomes in six key areas: Education, Business, Applied and Social Sciences, Health, Cyber, and Creative Arts.

Many courses boast strong industry connections which, along with our staff’s professional experience and knowledge, ensure you’ll gain real-world experience for career success.

95% of our students are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation.*

The creation and application of new knowledge is also fundamental to our mission. Our world-leading research and professional practice has impact for society and business, informing our curriculum and enhancing learning opportunities for our students.
