Biography

I am passionate about enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in higher education. I was one of the first people in the UK to be awarded a National Teaching Fellowship and be made a Principal Fellow of the HE Academy. In 2015 I was given a Distinguished Service Award by the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. I am an enthusiastic advocate of the role of student-staff partnerships in universities and am the inaugural senior editor of the International Journal for Students as Partners published by McMaster University Press.
