The Careers and Employability team is dedicated to supporting you at every stage of your journey – from your first day as a student to achieving your post-graduation career goals.

Whether you have a clear vision of your future career, are unsure about your next steps, or change direction along the way, our Careers and Employability professionals and Careers Coaches are here to provide the guidance and support you need.

We can also help you find work placements or paid opportunities through Unitemps with local employers to support and fund your time as a student, help with interview preparation, and provide ongoing support during your time at UoG and beyond.

Career studio

If you are a current student or graduate our student-facing, student-led Career Studios are the perfect place to chat with a Career Coach to discuss any career, placement, or job-hunting questions.

UoG Career Promise

At UoG we create a climate for bravery and growth. We instil confidence in all our students, so you can graduate career-ready and meet your ambitions.

95% of our graduates are in work or further study*, but if you’re not in a job 6 months after graduating we’ll guarantee you 6 months of free support, followed by the offer of a paid internship to kickstart your career – plus we’ll commit to lifetime career coaching. Eligibility conditions apply**

Graduate Support

As a University of Gloucestershire graduate, the Careers and Employability team is here to support you after you complete your studies. We understand that making the transition from being a student to a graduate can be challenging so we are here to help you along the way.

Career Coaching – The Careers Studio is the place to go to meet a Career Coach in person or virtually.

Graduate Portal – This is a dedicated space for all things grad within the Student Portal. Search for graduate jobs and opportunities, register for events, and tap into our Graduate Success resources. You can also get information and support about how to engage in the Graduate Outcomes Survey.

UoG Graduate LinkedIn Group – Connect with other grads and keep up to date with the latest news by joining the University of Gloucestershire Graduate Network.

Events – We run events throughout the year such as GradWeek and Job Fairs so look out for information on the portal, in emails and on the LinkedIn group.

Graduate Support Programmes – We offer a range of targeted initiatives such as Graduate Mentoring, the Graduate Internship programme and the Graduate Success Further Study course which we will contact you about directly.
