University announces new online nursing degree

​​This new programme will be in addition to our established on-campus nursing and allied health degrees in Gloucester and will be fully accredited by the relevant professional bodies. The programme will involve a high degree of practice based experience alongside the use of a virtual classroom supporting theoretical learning.

The university will build on a track record of innovative, high quality and flexible nursing programmes, designed and delivered with our health service partners.

The current demand for professional nurses and allied health staff is crucial with pressure to adapt to the challenges presented by Covid-19 and the needs of the NHS as a whole. This new programme will provide an opportunity for a wider range of applicants to access nursing and allied health programmes at the university. The provision of online teaching will allow those applicants who could not otherwise have pursued their ambitions to further their professional career in the health service.
