Students from the University of Gloucestershire presented a sold-out fashion show at Oxstalls campus in Gloucester last week as part of a collaborative event management project involving students from a wide variety of courses.

The event, which was coordinated entirely by Events Management students, showcased clothing by seventeen final-year Fashion Design students. The evening also featured performances from members of the Dance and Popular Music courses, and was photographed and recorded by Media students.

The aim of the show was to produce a collaborative event, incorporating different areas of the University and bringing together students from different courses and campuses. It also served as an opportunity for students to use and develop their skills in a live environment. The event, which took place on Thursday evening, was open to members of the public, and was sold-out.

Senior Lecturer in Events Management, Clare Greenaway, said: “We put together a brief designed to bring together different areas of the University, highlighting the work of different students in a creative and unusual way. It's a chance for typically creative and management focused aspects of learning to collide in one big event that showcases all the amazing things that our students can do."

Rebecca Kemp, one of the Events Management students running the event, said: “Organising this event was such an amazing opportunity. We got to work with loads of different courses such as Dance, Fashion, Photography and Film. It brought us all together as one university and it was just such a great thing to be a part of."

Anisha Howett, one of the Fashion Design students showing her work, said: “Working with students from other courses has been so exciting and interesting. It's really cool to collaborate because there are so many creative minds coming together."
