Business, Entrepreneurship and Financial Management

Dr Thiam in a Senior Lecturer with with research interest in both Accounting and Finance.


He is specialised in Banking Ethics and Compliance, Management Accounting, and is involved in research projects focused on the social impact of contemporary Finance and Accounting. 

Dr Thiam is currently involved as a co-lead of the ProFILE (Promoting Financial Literacy in Europe) project funded by the European Union, which seeks to improve financial literacy among children between 7 to 11 years old. Finally, Dr Thiam has gained valuable experience as a project evaluator.
