Duncan is a writer with special interest in crime fiction as a reflection of contemporary society.


Following a first PhD in mathematics, Duncan has worked in mathematics, engineering, accountancy, and environmental finance before concentrating on writing and academic research into crime writing.  Duncan's current PhD project concerns the way that crime fiction explores the boundaries of society.
