Mike Parker

Senior Lecturer in Film Production

I began making films with political exiles in London before moving to Wales where I have been based since 1987. I have produced BAFTA award winning documentaries, comedy, drama and feature films.

Biography

I am a multi-award winning producer and have been working in the industry for 35 years. I have produced the acclaimed documentaries Goddodin and Silent Village, the most popular programme ever in Wales, Satellite City, the international hit, A Mind to Kill and the feature films Rancid Aluminium, I Know You Know and 7Lives. I also produced award winning radio programming and the Royal Court production of Gas Station Angel.

  • BA (Hons): Film, TV and Video, London College of Printing, 1987
  • PGCE: Post Compulsary Education, University of Wales, Newport, 2010

Mike Parker has a slate of projects in development and production. He is currently financing his latest feature film Here be Monsters and is overseeing the Random Acts Projects with Calling the Shots
